Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is one of the greatest managers of all time.

He has won three Spanish La Liga titles with FC Barcelona, three German Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich and five English Premier League titles with Manchester City. Since the 2008-2009 season, he has finished at the top of the table in 11 out of 14 seasons with FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City. That’s just in league terms.

With FC Barcelona, he won the Spanish Cup (Copa del Rey) and two UEFA Champions Leagues; with Bayern Munich, two DFB-Pokals; and with Manchester City, one FA Cup and four League Cups. He has also won the FIFA Club World Cup three times.먹튀검증

However, Guardiola has a question mark hanging over him. One of the most common criticisms of Guardiola is that he only managed the best teams and best players in their respective leagues.

Guardiola was cool about it.

“Do you know the secret of my success as a manager?” he asked in an interview with Football Daily on the 29th, “The secret of my success is that I managed FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City. I have Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski, Elling Holland and Sergio Aguero,” he said.

“I love my mother and grandfather. But without them, you can’t win the Champions League.”

Guardiola’s words, and those of others, are that he has spent his career with the best teams and the best players. At FC Barcelona, he led a Spanish international line-up that included Messi, and at Bayern Munich, he did the same. Manchester City have also invested heavily to build a top line-up.

Guardiola doesn’t deny that it’s club and player driven. And there is no reason to deny it. It works. It’s a matter of pride.

Meanwhile, Manchester City have the FA Cup final against Manchester United on 3 June and the Champions League final against Inter Milan on 10 June. For Guardiola, it will be 14 years since he won the triple with FC Barcelona in the 2008-2009 season.
