The Lotte Giants have made some big and small changes to their starting line-up.

Lotte will play its fourth game of the season against the Samsung Lions of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu on the 9th. Na Kyun-ahn and Won Tae-in, who were named to the final roster for the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games, will start in the middle of the order.

Lotte, looking to end a four-game losing streak, lined up with Kim Min-seok (centre fielder), Jeon Jun-woo (designated hitter), Ahn Chi-hong (second baseman), Jack Rex (left fielder), Yoon Dong-hee (right fielder), Ko Seung-min (first baseman), Park Seung-wook (shortstop), Kim Min-soo (third baseman) and Jeong Jung-geun (catcher). Jeon Jun-woo, who batted third the previous day, moved up to second and will share the table-setter role with Kim Min-seok.메이저사이트

Starting shortstop Noh Jin-hyuk will start from the bench for administrative reasons. Lotte head coach Larry Sutton said, “As you know, Noh Jin-hyuk is a player who has been suffering from back discomfort. Yesterday, he was substituted in the middle of the game because of that, and today we will give him a rest and focus on his treatment and recovery.”

Rex, who came on as a pinch-hitter for Kim Min-soo in the 12th inning of the previous game, was named in the starting lineup for now. However, Rex is not at full strength, according to the manager.

Sutton said: “(Rex’s knee is) about the same right now. It’s not going to get better or worse all of a sudden, so it’s something that needs to be managed,” Sutton said. “The best treatment for Rex would be to rest him for a couple of months, but we’re heading into the middle of the season, so it’s hard to (realistically) give him a break, so it’s important to manage it.
