The billiard industry’s first national competition between Korea and Vietnam will be held in Hoi An, Vietnam.
The Asian Carom Billiards Federation (ACBC) announced on the 3rd that it will hold the ‘Hollywood Asia Super Cup’ at the Hoiana Resort in Hoi An, Vietnam for three days from the 17th.
The tournament was originally scheduled for December last year, but due to circumstances in both countries, it will be held this year.
ACBC asked the Korea Billiards Federation (KBF) and the Vietnam Billiards Federation (VBSF) to select players to hold the competition in terms of sports exchanges commemorating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Based on ranking, 3 male and 2 female 3-cushion players, 1 male and 2 female nine-ball players will represent each country.
KBF selected Heo Jeong-han, Kim Jun-tae, and Cha Myung-jong based on the World Carom Billiards Federation (UMB) 3-cushion ranking, and Jang Ga-yeon and Han Ji-eun were selected for the women’s 3-cushion based on domestic rankings.
In the nine-ball event, men’s Kwon Ho-jun and women’s Seo-ah and Lee Woo-jin compete based on domestic rankings, just like the women’s 3-cushion.
It is a competition with a total prize pool of $30,000, including $20,000 for the winner and $10,000 for the runner-up. The winning team is determined by adding up the points of the 3-cushion and nine-ball players over the three days. 스포츠토토
