Yvone Montaño submitted an application during the last 2020 tryout, and several teams took notice, but he was penalized for not participating in the draft. KOVO imposes a two-season penalty for the current season and the next season if a player who has applied for a tryout does not participate in the draft.

In the end, Yvone Montaño failed to apply for the 2021 tryout, and during the 2022 tryout, he applied after two years, but was not nominated in the draft.

Afterwards, Montaño played an active part as the team’s main striker in Muratpasa Belediyesi in the second division of Turkey, and this time he wore a Hyundai E&C uniform.

The Swiss league or the second division of Turkey, where Montaño played, are not at a very high level. However, in the recent game video, Montaño’s performance was good. His practical sense also has the advantage of being able to carry on.

Montaño showed his will, saying, “I’m excited to be able to play in the Korean league. I will pour all my volleyball capabilities so that the current No. 1 team, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, can win the championship until the end.”

Montaño is expected to participate in the V-League as soon as the International Transfer Agreement (ITC) issuance and player registration procedures are completed.

Meanwhile, Yasmin, who continues to receive treatment for a back injury, is uncertain whether he will be able to continue his career as before. Hyundai E&C announced that it would spare no support for the remaining salary and medical expenses.
