After winning her first title on the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLGPA) Tour, Bang Shin-sil (19-KB Financial Group) has climbed to 110th in the world rankings.
In the Women’s Golf World Rankings released on 30 March, Bang has jumped a whopping 123 places from 233rd last week to 110th.
Bang lifted the trophy at the KLPGA Tour’s 11th E1 Charity Open, which concluded on 28 April in Wonju, Gangwon Province. She finished with a final total of 9-under-par 207 and never relinquished the lead after the first round to claim a wire-to-wire victory.안전놀이터
As the first rookie to reach the top of the tour this year, Bang took home KRW 162 million in prize money and surpassed the KRW 200 million mark in career earnings (KRW 278.89 million) after just five tournaments on the regular tour, setting a new record for the smallest number of tournaments in the category. With her first win on the KLPGA Tour, Bang is now sixth on the money list and third on the rookie points list.
Ko retained her No. 1 ranking for the second consecutive week, while Nelly Korda (USA), Lydia Ko (NZL), Lilia Boo (USA) and Minjee Lee (AUS) remained at No. 2-5. Hyo Joo Kim is ranked 10th, giving South Korea two players in the top 10 alongside Jin Young Ko. Fazari Anannarukarn (THA), who recently won the Bank of Hope Match Play on the US Women’s Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour, moved up from 97th to 65th.
